Thessaloniki Documentary Festival (TDF), which will be presented both in March and June/July 2021, has set an application deadline of February 12 for its podcast workshops that will run during the first part of the online 23rd edition (March 4 to March 14, 2021).
Τop podcast experts from all over the world will focus on the basic principles of podcasts, will discuss content creation, technical features, and will share their tips and tricks, their secrets and know-how.
The workshops are open to:
1. Film professionals who have participated in a feature that has been screened at a film festival or within a commercial movie theatre, or short film that has been screened at an International Film Festival.
2. Media professionals (journalists, film critics, radio producers, etc.)
3. Graduates of schools related with audiovisual production (film, direction, theatre, acting, journalism, media etc.)
The online workshop places are limited and an electronic draw will take place on February 19, 2021, in the (very likely) event of entries exceeding the number of places. The workshops will be in English, without translation.
After the completion of the March workshops, TDF will put out an open call to creators from Greece and abroad to submit their podcasts, based on specifications that will be announced then. The best podcasts will be selected and presented, together with the workshop podcasts) during the summer on the Festival’s digital channels.
As previously announced, between March 4-14 2021 Greece audiences will be able to watch approximately 50 films on the Festival’s dedicated online platform, before the main part of the 23rd TDF (competition sections, Agora Docs etc.) takes place June 24–July 4 2021 in open-air theatres (Covid-permitting) and in the festival theatres of Thessaloniki.
“Until that time, and in the context of this year’s hybrid Documentary Festival, the Festival will organize other events, either online or in physical spaces, according to the health conditions,” say TDF organisers.
