Four prizes were awarded to new documentary projects participating in this year’s DOK Co-Pro Market.
The Saxon Award for the Best Documentary Project by a Female Director (worth €5,000 euros) was given to A Bit of A Stranger by Svitlana Lishchynska. The prize was donated by the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism.
The Current Time TV Award (worth €1,500) went to Blum by Jasmila Žbanić
The EWA Diverse Voices Award (worth €1,000 euros and a year-long mentorship by DOK Leipzig) was given to In the Light of Darkness.
The Unifrance Doc Award, which includes subtitling services sponsored by TitraFilm and a Unifrance membership for its French producer, was handed to Under the Dance Floor by Sára Timár.
From the DOK Preview Germany showcase, the D-Facto Motion Works-in-Progress Prize (post-production grant of €10,000 euros) went to 300 Trillion by Rudolph Herzog.
At DOK Short n’ Sweet the Square Eyes Festival Consultation Award, which includes wth a tailor-made consultation on festival strategy by Square Eyes, was won by The Art of Detaching One’s Memory by Jan Carlo Natividad (Philippines).
