On May 12, the Awards Ceremony of the third MDAG Industry Awards was held. The gong fest came at the end of 4 days of deliberation that entailed 4 pitching sessions, 37 projects and over 280 one-on-one meetings. The CANAL+ Poland Award (3,000 euros) was given to Dekonstrukt by Mateusz Góra Kamil Wilk while Sugarland by Julia Smakjam won the Polish Filmmakers Association cash award of PLN 10,000 (2,333 euros). All awards follow.

“We are honored to give a stage to these projects and support them on their production, festival, distribution, or development paths,” said Head of Industry Anna Szczypińska. “A big thank you goes to the participants, partners, mentors, experts, decision-makers, audience, and guests. It’s all of these elements combined that make the festival and MDAG Industry thrive and grow. We want to build a bridge between the CEE region and the West, following the principle: the more networking opportunities, the better. Cooperation is important to us not only across the region but also in the broader non-European context. We are waiting for all these films to be in circulation not only in different corners of Europe but also in the United States or Canada and other corners of the world.”
