IDF announces all projects for East Doc Platform 2023

IDF (The Institute of Documentary Film) has announced all the projects selected for his year’s event running March 24-30 in Prague. Organized by IDF Film in cooperation with One World Film Festival, the East Doc Platform is the largest co-production, funding and distribution platform tailor-made for Central and Eastern European documentaries, and will take place at the French Institute in Prague, March 24-30.

EAST DOC FORUM 2023: Founded in 2001 as the East European Forum, the East Doc Forum has become the region’s largest and prestigious pitching forum. Over the past 20 years, the East Doc Forum has hosted more than 800 filmmakers and producers from Central and Eastern Europe and over 300 commissioning editors, independent producers, distributors, film fund representatives and festival programmers from Europe and North America.

EAST DOC INTERACTIVE 2023: A creative lab and networking session within East Doc Platform that is designed for XR creators coming from Central and Eastern Europe. Over the course of 3 days the participants will consult their upcoming XR projects in development and production stage with international experts coming from the artistic, technological, or film scene.

CZECH DOCS: COMING SOON 2023: a presentation dedicated to Czech documentary projects within the East Doc Platform program. Upcoming feature documentaries are presented by producer-director team to an audience of invited representatives of leading international film festivals, sales agents, distributors, and to the wide public. This event is organized in cooperation with the Audiovisual Producers’ Association (APA).

EAST DOC MARKET 2023: the EDM offers filmmakers the opportunity to meet with over 70 international funders, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents and festival representatives. Over the course of two days, filmmakers pitch their projects at 15 minutes long individual meetings to the partners of their choice or the ones who requested specifically to meet the project. Over two days, more than 400 curated individual meetings take place.
