Serbia-based sales company Films Mundi has acquired exclusive international sales rights (excluding Poland) to Kamila Serwicka’s feature documentary Blossoming (A teraz wiosna).
The acquisition follows the film’s world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival’s Semaine de la Critique, where it won the Grand Prix Semaine de la Critique – Prix SRG SSR.
Produced by Adrianna Rędzia for Lumisenta Film Foundation and shot over five years, Blossoming is a powerful debut by Polish filmmaker Kamila Serwicka, who chose to tell the story of her own family with remarkable bravery and cinematic sensitivity. It is described as “a delicate, nuanced and deeply honest portrait of five women across three generations who are determined to break the cycle of silence and inherited trauma.”

Announcing the acquisition, Neda Lukić, Founder of Films Mundi, said: “For me, one of the most beautiful parts of this work is discovering gifted filmmakers at the beginning of their journey. I deeply admire how Kamila weaves silence, tension and the smallest gestures of everyday life with an evocative score, allowing us to feel, almost viscerally, the sense of entrapment within a home shaped by addiction. Yet there is great tenderness in her approach: both daughter and filmmaker, she lets her family’s story unfold in its own time, without ever resorting to sensationalism.”
