International sales company Odd Slice Films has brought on board Linda Venturini as festival manager and acquisitions consultant, less than a year after the company’s launch by Martina Droandi.
Venturini brings experience from Cinema Troisi in Rome, where she was Head of Talents and Partnerships, and from Be For Films, where she was Festival Manager from 2023 to 2025. She was also programmer and project manager at Lago Film Fest, where she coordinated the NIUDOC workshop for documentary filmmakers, and she is currently a member of the selection committee of Film Fest Gent.
Earlier in her career she worked at Cineuropa, Festival Scope and mk2, and she has taken part in several industry programs, including the Thessaloniki-Locarno Industry Academy in 2024, the Europa Cinemas Lab at Seminci in 2025 and Locarno U30 in 2026.
At Odd Slice Films, Venturini will oversee festival strategy and submissions across the company’s slate, while also consulting on acquisitions. Her experience in fiction will inform the company’s search for new fiction projects to complement the slate.
The collaboration begins as Odd Slice Films approaches its first anniversary. The company is representing one EFA shortlisted title, La belle année, which won a Special Jury Prize @ IFFR. Their latest acquisition is Asmahan Bkerat’s Concrete Land, which premiered at Locarno and will screen at DOK Leipzig and in IDFA. The company’s Amilcar won eight awards so far, including Outstanding Artistic Contribution at IDFA and Best International Documentary at Encounters.
Such is the audience interest in Tom Adjibi’s This is Not a French Film, the film is entering its fourth week at Brussels Cinema Palace, after screenings were initially scheduled to run for only a few dates. Further screenings are planned in Switzerland; the theatrical release is France is scheduled in Summer 2027.
