
Ten international films are in the long list in the Documentary category of the upcoming BAFTAs, while four documentaries are long-listed in the Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer category.
Round Two voting, to determine the final nominations, closes on Tuesday 20 January 2026 at 6pm GMT. Nominations will be announced on Tuesday 27 January on the BAFTA YouTube channel ahead of the winners being revealed at the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards ceremony on Sunday 22 February.

Members of the Documentary chapter vote to determine the Documentary longlist. A jury selects the five nominations. In the final round all film-voting members vote to determine the winning film.
