
CPH:FORUM has issued a reminder of the upcoming submission deadline for the pitch event that runs March 18-21 2024.
Reflecting the overall profile of CPH:DOX, CPH:FORUM is looking for projects within five main focus areas:
- FICTIONONFICTION: Challenging works in the hybrid landscape between fiction and non-fiction
- CINEMA: High-end theatrical feature-length documentaries with international distribution potential.
- F:ACT: Projects bridging the fields of filmmaking, investigative journalism and activism.
- ART: Film projects positioned in the borderland between art and film and screened both within the institution of cinema and that of visual arts
- SCIENCE: Creative documentary film and new media projects on science and technology.
In addition, and as part of the Forum the CPH:WIP platform features:
- WORK IN PROGRESS: Projects in late production or post-production looking for gap financing or distribution.
CPH:FORUM also announced that next year two new Eurimages Lab Awards will be presented: the Innovation Award of €20,000 for experimental projects in development, and The Outreach Award of €30,000 to promote public awareness of experimental projects that are at the end of production or in post-production.
Back in March 2023, CPH:FORUM’s Special Eurimages Develoment Award For a Ukrainian Project (€20,000) was awarded to Red Zone by Iryna Tsilyk, produced by Moon Man (Darya Bassel, Ukraine).
The tenth Eurimages Co-Production Development Award, valued at €20,000, went to Only On Earth by Robin Petré, produced by Hansen & Pedersen (Signe Skov Thomsen, Malene Flindt Pedersen, Denmark/Spain).
The first Unifrance Doc Award for the best French majority or minority co-produced pitch at CPH:FORUM 2023 was won by Cuba & Alaska by Yegor Troyanovsky, produced by 2Brave Productions (Olha Beskhmelnytsina, Ukraine) and TAG Film (Christian Popp, France).
