IDFA has put out the call for project submissions to the IDFA Bertha Fund flagship grant program IBF Classic in two categories: Project Development and Production & Post-production.

With its aim of supporting independent and critical artistic voices from underrepresented regions of the world, the IDFA Bertha Fund’s Classic funding scheme provides development and (post-)production grants to documentary film directors and producers from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.

For this funding scheme, the IBF is seeking new slate of creative documentary projects that use a strong visual approach to tell compelling stories and have the potential to reach a global audience.

Filmmakers can submit projects in two categories:

Project Development (maximum contribution €5,000 per project)

Production & Post-production (maximum contribution €17,500 per project)

The deadline to submit a project for the upcoming selection round is December 10, 2020. For IBF Classic territory eligibility check here
