DOK.fest München has put out its final call for submissions for DOK.forum Marketplace, its industry platform for “co-creation and co-production.” Marketplace is looking for “strong documentary projects” across all development stages and formats for the next edition, running 7 to 11 May 2025.
The submission deadline is 17 January 2025 (except for DOK.talent: 24 February 2025, see below).
The DOK.forum Marketplace constitutes a “meeting point for the German-speaking documentary film industry and a gateway for those professionals looking for a European partner [and] presents up to 40 selected projects participating in on-stage pitch events, Roundtables and One-to-One meetings and connecting them with high level international professionals (producers, broadcasters, distributors, festival programmers, funds and sales agents),” write organisers.
All selected Marketplace projects will participate in the One-to-One meetings.
By applying to the Marketplace, projects can be eligible for various pitch formats. In addition to Roundtables and One-to-One meetings, the Marketplace offers five pitch events to which producers/filmmakers can specifically apply, including four award-winning competitions:

The Baltics in focus
This year Marketplace will put its focus on the Baltic countries, with the selection of up to six strong projects from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, with or without a producer, and with an interest in finding a partner in a German-speaking country. The projects will be part of the Marketplace selection and will receive a free accreditation for DOK.forum and DOK.fest München 2025, with the possibility of accommodation and travel support.
