Prague-based organisers of dok.incubator have put out the call to editors, directors and producers for its upcoming 6-month workshop. Eight project teams will be selected for the three sessions which will be both hybrid and on-site (Czech Republic and Sweden).
USPs of the event include:
● more than thirty internationally-active filmmakers drafted in to tutor throughout the postproduction period
● personal feedback on rough cut from key festival representatives, sales agents and other decision makers
● preparing a tailor-made marketing and distribution strategy to unfold films to a wider audience
Organisers also point out that three films in 2020 Sundance World Cinema Competition were developed during previous editions of dok.incubator. These were Acasă, My Home (Romania/Germany) by Radu Ciorniciuc, The Earth Is Blue As an Orange (Ukraine/Lithuania) by Iryna Tsilyk and Once Upon a Time in Venezuela (Ven/UK/Brazil/Austria) by Anabel Rodríguez Ríos.
“Eight selected teams will work intensively in the editing room to sharpen the final cut, and prepare a sophisticated tailor-made marketing and distribution strategy. dok.incubator is an opportunity to get a new perspective on your film and to maximize its international potential,” organisers further stress.
The workshops will be a combo of hybrid and residental, depending on the current pandemic situation and local restrictions (exact dates to be confirmed).
