The European Film Academy revealed November 5 the nominees for the main categories of the 37th European Film Awards. The winners will be revealed in this year’s award ceremony on 7 December in Lucerne, Switzerland.
The five Documentary nominees are:

- In Limbo Written & directed by: by Alina Maksimenko. Produced by: Filip Marczewski, Katarzyna Madaj-Kozłowska
- No Other Land Written & directed by: Yuval Abraham, Rachel Szor, Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal. Produced by: Fabien Greenberg, Bård Kjøge Rønning, Yuval Abraham, Basel Adra, Rachel Szor, Hamdan Ballal
- Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat Written & directed by: Johan Grimonprez. Produced by: Rémi Grellety, Daan Milius
The Documentary nominees will also compete in the European Film category.
Benjamin Ree’s Sundance-winning doc The Remarkable Life of Ibelin, produced by Ingvil Giske (Norway), is nominated in the European Young Award category.
The nominations are based on the votes of 5,000 members of the European Film Academy who have been watching the films included in the annual Academy Selection. Now the Academy members will vote for the winners. Click here to see the details of the awarding procedure.
