DocCelerator

Paradiddle Pictures has announced the  dates and deadlines for its Autumn season of standalone DocCelerator documentary workshops, launched in May 2020.

There are three different editions of the workshop, each designed to cover specific needs during the different stages of project development and production. In addition, the DocCelerator On Demand looks to fulfil the needs and meet the requirements of local, regional or national film organisations.

DocCeleratorStory: an online documentary story and script development program that helps documentary makers in search of a more focused story and clearer dramaturgical structure for their projects. The workshop seeks to define, develop and strengthen the key structural narrative elements of your film.

Date: September 1-2 2022. Deadline: August 9; November 3-4 2022. Deadline: October 6.

DocCeleratorPitch: an online documentary pitch and development program aimed optimizing funding opportunities for projects. The workshop is designed to ready projects for pitch and presentation to funders, investors, broadcasters and distributors, as well as create a realistic market expectation for the projects.

Dates & Deadline: TBA.

DocCeleratorRoughCut: an online documentary story editing and distribution program. It is aimed at documentary makers looking for input to the rough cut and distribution plan. The workshop will help define the structural narrative of the rough cut and create the right strategy for festival distribution and international sales.

Date: October 06-07, 2022. Deadline: September 08.

All DocCelerator versions are project-based workshops taking place online. The length of each workshop is 2 days and can accommodate 6 selected project teams, depending on the specific version.

“The online DocCelerator format is such an effective set-up for documentary makers to achieve fast, inexpensive and useful progress for their projects. Two days with full focus on one project, with no time, energy or money spend on traveling,” Rishøj Jensen told Business Doc Europe in 2021. “The participants like this short but effective boost to their projects, which they get from taking part. During two days, their stories becomes much more focused and they realize that this focus saves them a lot of time and money in the production and editing.”
