Still: In His Image by Tami Ravid (IDFA Dutch Comp)
The 2020 online Docs for Sale catalogue is now complete (and online) and includes 440 new titles, approximately 150 (about one third) of which are part of IDFA’s official festival selection. Among them, 54 will have their world premieres at the festival.
The titles are from 240 rightsholders and 80 countries across all continents. World premieres are still available for 137 (about 30%) of films in the catalogue.
“In this complicated and difficult year for the documentary film industry, Docs for Sale decided to support international sales agents and filmmakers by launching early this summer with three batches of titles: a selection of IDFA Forum films in June, the July Summer Showcase, and another 37 entries added in August,” writes the festival. “Now, with the 2020 edition of IDFA and our online event just ten days away, we are publishing the full, online Docs for Sale catalogue.”
Rough Cut Screenings
In addition to organizing hundreds of participant meetings and get-togethers during the market, IDFA Forum and Docs for Sale will once again present Rough Cut Projects. This market category is intended specifically for projects in the rough cut or last stages of production which are looking for sales, distribution, buyers, or other opportunities.
Presentations of the projects from the Rough Cut will be available to Docs for Sale Acquisition passholders on the project page. The 2020 Docs for Sale catalogue will be accessible to subscribers until November 2021.
