The East Silver Market is a unique film market dedicated solely to the documentary cinema of Central and Eastern Europe. The main aim of the market is to support distribution and promotion of documentary films from this region.

The key activity of the East Silver project is the East Silver Market, which takes place within the Jihlava IDFF, but is open for submissions throughout the whole year, especially for makers looking to join its festival service East Silver Caravan. All selected films become part of an online catalogue of documentary films East Silver, and are automatically valid for the Jihlava IDFF programme pre-selection.

Picking the nominees from 2022 East Silver Market submissions, the East Silver international jury (comprising of international buyers, sales agents and festival selectors) awards the best documentary films with the Silver Eye Award in 2 main categories (short and feature length documentary).
