Netherlands Production Incentive invests €1.37 million in Steve McQueen feature doc

The Netherlands Film Production Incentive has invested €1,375,323 in the Steve McQueen-directed documentary Occupied City. The film, scripted by Bianca Stigter, is produced by Family Affair Films and co-produced by Lammas Park (UK). Dutch expenditure includes production designer, visual effects supervisor, colorist, composer, post-production supervisor.

  

The Occupied City logline reads: Living in Amsterdam is like living with ghosts. It seems there are two parallel narratives occurring. The past is always present. Turning a corner or blinking can be like stepping into the past. It almost feels like one has lead shoes. The soil is not dry of the past.

The Netherlands Film Production Incentive offers a financial contribution in the form of a cash rebate on the qualifying production costs that are demonstrably spent in the Netherlands.
