Swiss-based doc sales agency announces both the company rebrand and the recent pick-up of Amel Alzakout and Khaled Abdulwahed’s Purple Sea.
Company MD Anna Berthollet has announced that Sweet Spot Docs will hitherto be known as Lightdox.
“After two years of successful existence, we took the COVID-due slowdown as an opportunity to deeply reflect on our branding and to reshape our visual identity,” she said in a statement. “We mature, so does our brand identity, to reflect best on our aspirations and company values. We go sober and efficient in our visual communication as we are in our work!”
“We reversed the letter “b” from the emblematic cinema lightbox to put in the spotlight our engagement towards cinematic documentaries and powerful storytelling,” she added.
Bertholet also announced the recent acquisition of Amel Alzakout and Khaled Abdulwahed’s extraordinary Purple Sea, which world-premiered at Berlinale 2020. The film charts Alzakout’s survival after the boat on which she was fleeing Syria sunk off the coast of Lesbos.
