Swiss Films/StoryBoard Collective present Impact Accelerator at FIFDH

Swiss Films

Swiss Films presented March 11 the new Impact Accelerator initiative which marks the start of a new collaboration between the promotion agency and The StoryBoard Collective, the Geneva-based philanthropic organisation which supports storytelling for social transformation.

The announcement was made by Charlotte Ducos, Swiss Films Consultant – Documentary & Marketing Strategies, and Laure de Peretti de la Rocca, Director of The StoryBoard Collective, during the “Meet the Changemakers” networking event at the Impact Days of FIFDH Geneva.

Through the new partnership, Impact Accelerator will support 3 projects from 2024 through 2025 as a continuation of the Swiss Films pilot support measure ‘New Audience, New Releases.’

The call is primarily designed to support Swiss features (documentary or fiction) that plan an impact campaign abroad. The projects can be at any stage of production but should have secured most of their production budget, with support sought to cover their impact campaigning costs.

Only Swiss productions and majority Swiss co-productions officially recognized by the FOC are eligible to apply.

Regulations:

  • Creative author-driven feature films (over 60 minutes in duration) with strong international potential on a particular topic and a particular territory.
  • The projects should be aiming to start their impact campaigns from the date of signature of support, and complete within 18 months of that date.
  • The projects should have a priority interest in securing partners on impact producing, and in receiving guidance from The StoryBoard Collective.
  • Projects should have neither a world sales nor a distributor on board.
  • Submission should be made by the producer.
  • The three selected projects will benefit from a coaching session courtesy of The StoryBoard Collective.

The application deadline is April 30 and the final selection will be announced beginning of June 2024.
