
The juries for Visions du Réel’s nine competitive festival sections have been unveiled, as well as those deliberating over the prizes within the VdR Industry programme. In total 33 prizes will be handed out for films and projects during the Festival and Industry Awards ceremonies (held 26 and 28 April respectively).
International Feature Film Competition
The Jury for the International Feature Film Competition will judge an international competition of 14 films, including 12 world premieres and 2 international premieres. The Grand Jury Prize is offered by la Mobilière (CHF 20,000) and the Special Jury Award is funded by the Région de Nyon (CHF 10,000). Jury: Florence Almozini, David Epiney, Kleber Mendonça Filho. Burning Lights Competition
The Jury will deliberate on 15 films, including 13 world premieres and 2 international premieres, and present the Jury Prize (CHF 10,000 offered by the Canton of Vaud) and the Special Jury Award (CHF 5,000) by la Société des Hôteliers de la Côte. National Competition
The Jury will award the prizes to a selection of 12 films, 11 of which will be presented in world premiere and one in international premier. The Jury Prize is offered by SRG SSR (CHF 15,000) and the Special Jury Award is offered by SSA/Suissimage (CHF 10,000). Jury: Anne Delseth, Francesca Mazzoleni, Eugenie Michel-Villette. International Medium Length & Short Film Competition
The three Jury members will choose among 32 films, including 28 world premieres, 3 international premieres and 1 European premiere, and present the Jury Prize for the Best Medium Length Film offered by Clinique de Genolier (CHF 6,000) and the Jury Prize for the Best Short Film, offered by Fondation Gobelet (CHF 5,000). The Youth Jury will award a Special Prize to a Medium Length Film offered by Ecole Moser (CHF 4,000) and a Special Prize to a Short Film, worth CHF 2,500 from Mémoire Vive. FIPRESCI

Interreligious
The Interreligious Jury will award a feature film of the International Competition that sheds light on issues dealing with the meaning of life (CHF 5,000). Jury: Nicolas Besson, Linda Dombrovszky, Garance Hayat, Mohammad Rezaeian
Zonta
The ZONTA Jury will award a woman filmmaker whose work reveals mastery and talent and calls for support for future creations (CHF 5,000). Jury: Simone Jenni-Pfingsttag, Dora Manz, Fisnik Maxville
Perception Change Award
The Perception Change Award, offered by the Director General of the Geneva UN with the support of the Diplomatic Club, awards a film that sheds light on the current issues that will define the world of tomorrow (CHF 5,000). Jury: Aziyade Poltier Mutal, François Vioud
Youth Jury

VDR–INDUSTRY
The projects invited to participate in the 3 VdR–Industry activities (VdR–Pitching, VdR–Work In Progress and VdR–Rough Cut Lab) will be overseen bu two international Juries who will award numerous prizes offered by event’s partners. These projects are competing for the visions sud est Award, The Party Film Sales Award, the RTS Award, the Lightdox Award, the Tënk Award and the Unifrance Doc Award, among others. The Award Ceremony for the VdR–Industry projects will take place on 26 April 2023.
