
IDFA 2022 unveiled November 2 its juries across nine competitive sections. “Made up of some of the most esteemed names in documentary film, our festival juries are an indispensable part of IDFA and fulfil an honorable role of immense value. They help us to serve the outstanding films and interactive documentary projects in the selection; to provide them with their much-deserved launchpad and to draw all possible attention to them and to their filmmakers,” the festival writes.

- Vanja Kaludjercic: director of International Film Festival Rotterdam
- Yousry Nasrallah: Egyptian filmmaker
- Mary Stephen: director and editor
- Yoshihiko Yatabe: producer and programming director Tokyo International Film Festival

- Rosa Bosch: film producer
- Thania Dimitrakopoulou: Head of Sales/Head of Acquisitions The Match Factory
- Pawel Lozinski: Polish director, DOP and producer

- Marcel van Brakel: founder and lead designer at interdisciplinary Dutch experience design collective Polymorf.
- Katayoun Dibamehr: Iranian, French, Canadian producer based between Paris and Montreal and XR industry veteran
- Amelia Winger-Bearskin: Artist and Associate Professor of Artificial Intelligence and the Arts at the Digital Worlds Institute at the University of Florida, and founder of the AI Climate Justice Lab

- Manuel Abramovich: filmmaker, artist, and director of photography.
- Núria Aidelman: co-director of A Bao A Qu, a non-profit cultural organization devoted to the conception and development of projects that link arts, culture and education.

Jury for IDFA Competition for Youth Documentary
- Eneos Çarka: creative documentary filmmaker based in Los Angeles
- Viola Gabrielli: experienced international media consultant specializing in content and talent scouting, as well as programming for markets and festivals worldwide within the children’s media industry.
- Shamira Raphaëla: Rotterdam-based director
Jury for IDFA Award for Best First Feature
- Ben Fowlie: Executive & Artistic Director of the Points North Institute and the founder of the Camden International Film Festival.
- Coco Schrijber: director and one of the Netherlands’ most original film essayists.
- Rasmus Steen: Head of Documentary Film at International Media Support in Copenhagen, Denmark.

- Susanna Helke: award-winning documentary filmmaker.
- Maori Karmael Holmes: curator, filmmaker and writer. Founder of BlackStar in 2012, CEO and Artistic Director.
- Jacopo Quadri: director and editor
