Ove Jensen of Paradiddle Pictures announced January 5 the dates and deadlines for the Spring 2022 series of DocCelerator workshops.
The dates for the Spring 2022 DocCelerator workshops are:
DocCeleratorStory: online documentary story and script development program.
- February 24-25, 2022. Deadline: January 26.
- May 16-17, 2022. Deadline: April 19
DocCeleratorRoughCut: online documentary story editing and distribution program.
- April 6-7, 2022. Deadline: March 9
DocCelerator is a series of stand-alone online documentary workshops, providing documentary makers a method for a clearer dramaturgical structure in documentary projects.
‘Besides generating creative input, DocCelerator workshops save participants many hours of working and much money in production expenses. This is achieved through a more focused narrative structure, which saves hours of recordings not fitting to the film and many days of expensive editing. The essence of DocCelerator is to invest in the development in order to save on the production,’ says the workshop description.
Sixteen DocCelerator workshops have been presented since the initiative was launched by Copenhagen-based Paradiddle Pictures in May 2020. DocCelerator is run by director Geoffrey Smith and producer & consultant Ove Rishøj Jensen.
