The Central European Documentary Co-production Market (June 3 – 5) is held every year during the Krakow Film Festival in Poland. Building on its Central European location, CEDOC nurtures a cooperation between East and West, North and South with a special focus on Central European projects and talents. For many projects, CEDOC is the first platform to enter the international market.
“We know how to recognize the potential even in projects at early stages of development and are not afraid to take risks. We discover talents,” write organisers. The event, organized since 2015, is part of the DOC LAB POLAND and KFF INDUSTRY program, which consists of workshops, consultations and pitchings of Polish documentary projects (DOCS TO START and DOCS TO GO). The deadline for applications is March 31.
There are two ways of applying for CEDOC Market:
- If participants apply with a project, the event “wants to learn more about the relevance and artistic value of your concept, its international potential and your track record as a producer.” CEDOC accepts documentary projects that are at least 50-minutes in length.
- If participants don’t have a project to share, but are looking for one, organisers will help with booking one-on-one meetings with CEDOC MARKET and DOCS TO START project teams.
*In both cases, producers will be able to take part in the whole CEDOC Market – meet industry professionals and book one-on-one meetings with DOCS TO START project teams.
Applying for CEDOC Market is free, but the participation cost is 120 EUR. Participants organize and cover the expenses of their travel and accommodation.
The event is organized by DOC LAB POLAND & KFF Industry during 65th Krakow Film Festival, who offer all participating producers a KFF Industry accreditation (entitling the holder to access all Industry events and Official Krakow Film Festival Screening programme) and possibility to attend all the networking events.
