CPH:DOX 2022 open for submissions

CPH:DOX

CPH:DOX has announced the deadline for film submissions for next year’s festival, taking March 23 – April 3, 2022. The deadlines are September 1 for films finished by that date, and December 1 for films finished after the first deadline. Submission details here.

The festival also reminds doccers that the July 6 deadline of July 6 for CPH:LAB project submissions is fast approaching. CPH:LAB is described as CPH:DOX’s talent development programme “that encourages creative risk taking, celebrates raw talent, facilitates collaboration across borders and business sectors and supports visionaries to push the existing boundaries of documentary filmmaking.”

For the CPH:LAB 2021/2022 edition, the lab team will be working with the theme of ‘Transformations’ and seek to develop up to 9 new projects assisted by a “stellar” team of international mentors in an intensive course taking place both online and on site in Copenhagen. More details.

All sessions from this year’s INTER:ACTIVE SYMPOSIUM and CPH:CONFERENCE are available online, and include contributions from artist and filmmaker Ai Weiwei, Taiwan’s digital minister Audrey Tang, producer and former co-head of Amazon Movies Ted Hope among others.

Viewers can still watch CPH:DOX’s ‘An Evening With’ series online that include talks with world renowned artist Marina Abramović, legendary musician David Byrne, iconic philosopher and cultural critic Slavoj Žižek among others.
