DOK Leipzig’s DOK Co-Pro Market has issued a final call for author-driven documentary, animated documentary and – as of in 2026 – feature animation projects.

The introduction of fully animated projects is the next natural step to expand DOK Industry’s animation offerings and aligns with the festival’s commitment to support feature-length creative animated films with a dedicated competition launched in 2023,” write organisers.

“The animated fiction projects will focus on artistic feature-length films with theatrical potential, alongside series suited for platforms and broadcasters – all targeting adult audiences, a rising segment in the animation industry.”

Feature-length projects (duration over 60’) and creative series (duration over 45’ per episode) are all encouraged to apply. The festival only accepts projects that are in development or early stages of production. Projects in post-production are not eligible.

The DOK Co-Pro Market features 35 international projects in development spanning documentary, animated documentary and feature animation, “matching project holders with new partners for co-production, financing and distribution.”

Over two days, DOK Industry organizes 900+ curated one-on-one meetings and plenty of informal networking opportunities “in a friendly and welcoming setting,” organisers add. “The Co-Pro Market expands networks and creates fruitful opportunities for new creative documentaries and animated films by exploring potential partnerships.”

Full details about the DOK Co-Pro Market and the open call are found on the festival’s websiteThe application deadline is 1 July.
