Biarritz-based FIPADOC has put out the call for documentary projects for its International Pitch section, during which 24 new doc projects will be presented to a wide group of international funders. The International Pitches is part of FIPADOC’s Industry Days, running January 27-30, 2025.
The submission deadline is October 24, 2024.
During the FIPADOC International Pitches the 24 selected project teams will pitch to 60+ international funders from Europe and beyond. This includes decision makers from funders like France TV, ARTE, RTBF, RTS, SVT, BBC, Current Time TV, Al Jazeera, ZDF as well as distributors and funds, the festival notes. To further strengthen the potential outcome of the pitch, FIPADOC will schedule hundreds of tailor-made individual meetings between the pitch teams and the potential funders.
Prior to arrival at FIPADOC to pitch their projects, the selected teams will participate in an online booster workshop, run by international pitching experts. They will facilitate pitch strategies and concrete enhancements on the presentations of each project.
Upon the conclusion of the FIPADOC International Pitches a dedicated jury will select a number of award winners*:
