IDA announces 37th annual Documentary Awards timeline

International Documentary Association

One of awards season’s high profile film events in Hollywood, International Documentary Association (IDA)’s 37th Annual IDA Documentary Awards ceremony is set for Saturday, February 5, 2022.

The in-person awards ceremony returns to the Paramount Theatre on the Paramount Studios Lot to celebrate both the year’s top non-fiction films and programs, and the organization’s 40th year of serving the documentary community.

Subject to public health mandates, the event will comply with all COVID-19 health orders from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

“As the documentary form expands and evolves, the IDA Documentary Awards is celebrating the role nonfiction storytelling plays in contemporary society,” says Rick Pérez, executive director of IDA. “We are excited to return to an in-person event that will continue our tradition of honoring excellence and also commemorate the organization’s 40th anniversary.”
