DocsBarcelona stresses imminent Industry deadline
Deadline of February 25 for Public Pitch of new doc projects. DocsBarcelona Industry will this year be presented online 18-30 May. Professional activities include a financing market for documentary projects, as well as conferences and round-tables and workshops.

Dutch Film Fund announces doc support package
Lock Doc Development looks to offer support for the documentary slates of up to ten production companies, both for existing documentary film plans affected by Covid and for new feature doc film plans. Overall spend on the package amounts to €600,000. Deadline of 23 March.

Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In, a look at the life and legend of the Manchester United manager and directed by his son Jason, will have world premiere 6 March. GFF will also host UK premiere of Tina, a revealing and intimate look at the life and career of musical icon Tina Turner.

Deadline of March 31 for films released in 2020, May 31 for films completed in 2021 and released by May 31, and July 31 for rough cuts and films yet to have world prem. Additional deadline of March 31 for two-part EMERGING PRODUCERS programme to be held October 25–29 in Jihlava and February 2022 in Berlin.
Miriam Cutler: A woman of note

Ex Oriente workshop announces guest tutors for March 2021 session
Alexander Nanau, Maya Daisy Hawke and Anja Salomonowitz are among the eight guest tutors joining the 3rd session (March 6-17) of the 2020/21 Ex Oriente Film workshop programme, held online. Twelve projects are selected, out of a record 108 submissions.
